A few days ago, in the state of Veracruz, left wing politician Celestino Rivera Hernandez was caught in the act of sodomizing and raping a 12 year old boy that he had picked up on the street. Celestino is a “respected” pillar of his community, but he had done this before. No less than 5 [...]

An objective view on Hugo Chavez

Posted By Per-Otto Lekare on May 26th, 2007

Ok… so I might be a little bit reactonary… so I might be a little bit no-left. But let’s take a close look at Hugo Chavez.

He is president of the world’s 5th largest oil producer.

Cool.

He is president of a country plagued by corruption for the past 50 years.

Cool.

He says he wants to give to the people of his country what is rightfully theirs.

Cool. Who doesn’t?

He is close friends with Fidel Castro.

Cool. I guess. At least it’s his own choice.

He is beating down on every type of foreign influence in Venezuela… Be it television, radio, foreing investments in oil fields, etc.

Not cool.

If he really wants to be the “president of the people” he needs to allow criticism. He needs to allow more than the poorest people in his country (the ones he gives money to) to say they love him. Anything else is not allowed. His taking over the largest tv-channel in Venezuela is not OK. It’s not right. It’s not called for.

Hugo Chavez might have great ideals, but he sucks incredibly in trying to make them stick. In Venezuela, he has forced the people to accept his ideas… but in the rest of South America? He says Fidel Castro supports him. I doubt that. I think Fidel is happy for having anybody at all care for him – Fidel is way too intelligent to think that Hugo Chaves is his equal. Hugo says Evo Morales loves him. I don’t doubt that. Evo is president of a country in the depth of a great political crisis. He might be president, but mark my words – he won’t be president much longer. He loves anyone to the left.

Hugo Chavez is a puppet of the (faint) idea of communism. Communism is a great idea, but it doesn’t work. At all. People aren’t communist by nature. They never will be.

It’s time somebody said to Hugo to stop it, to give up, and go take exile in Cuba.

I know Venezuelan nationals living in Mexico… All of them say they love their country, but they can’t stand Chavez. Not because of his crazy expropriations, not because of his crazy antics… Most of all, because they see in him a corrupt leader… He wears 5 000 USD watches, and likes to show them off. He wears Armani suits. He doesn’t really care about his people earning no more than 200 USD / month. As long as he has his suits, his watches, his plasma screens in the palace, he doesn’t care.

He sucks… And he is quite sick.

Does the Pope wear a funny hat?

…the answer is obvious.

He said he thinks it’s ok for the Mexican legislators that voted to legalize abortions in Mexico City, to be excommunicated.

Excommunicated, you might ask… what is that? According to [WIKIPEDIA], excommunication means “a religious censure used to deprive or suspend membership in a religious community.”

OK, so someone who voted for women’s right to choose, should not be able to be member of the illustrious catholic community? Cool. Sign me up. Do they excommunicate the priests that sodomize and rape small boys? No. Of course not. A slap on the wrist whenever that happens, and a transfer to another community. In addition, it is the RIGHT of the priests to decide what women should (or shouldn’t) do with their bodies. Since they already decided that women stand lower than men (they can’t be priests in catholic countries), they also mean that women are too stupid to make decisions of their own.

I am amazed people actually believe this bullshit.
