Mexican public school teachers are blocking roads and city centers, protesting the Mexican government’s initiative to raise the educational level of the country.

I totally support these whacko-s. NOT… I mean, being a teacher in a public school doesn’t give you any right to decide if you know enough or not to teach the kids. That’s something that the evaluation tests make sure of. The kid’s parents actually pay the teacher’s salary, and they have ALL rights to demand a good education for their children. As for “selling” or give away the jobs when they retire….. say what?
The HTC Touch Pro has just been released to rave reviews, and has also been dubbed an “iPhone-killer”. I generally both like and dislike Windows Mobile more than OSX, so I guess it will have to be tested before I give a verdict. Seems the speed troubles that bogged down other WM-based phones have been fixed here. Navigation seems to be smooth and it seems to work pretty well. Besides, you are allowed to install whatever software you want on it, not something Apple has “approved”, which makes it worth it just because of that.
On the eve of the 15th of September, several artifacts exploded in a packed central square in Morelia, Michoacán. People had gathered to celebrate 198 years of Mexican independence. Coincidentally, Mexico’s president Felipe Calderón is from Michoacán. Even more coincidentally, Lazaro Cardenas (ex president that expropiated the oil industry), Cuauhtemoc Cardenas (son of Lazaro and former presidential candidate for PRD) and his son Lazaro Cardenas Batel (former governor of Michoacan) – all come from Michoacán.
It is well known that Lopez Obrador doesn’t like any of these people one bit – except for General Cardenas (who is dead). He has fought with Calderon, Cuauhtemoc and Lazaro. He even fought with the now governor – Leonel Godoy.
Is there someone else that thinks AMLO would benefit from causing chaos and havoc? He has shown before that he doesn’t care too much about human life. Maybe he wants to create a state of terror in Calderon’s home state.
